National Stereotyping

I think stereotyping is a bad thing, but I think it is almost impossible to prevent it. We always have expectation to other people.

I think it is best to always meet people before we start to stereotype them.

If someone does national stereotyping against the Norwegians, I think that would be wrong, because I do not think we have any common features. And when I reflect of this, I think the other countries think the same of their country.

Therefore it seems that all stereotyping is necessary and probably even fault.

I have seen the movie Gandhi and am going to tell about two of the scenes from the movie.
Scene 2
In this scene he went to a train journey. He had a discussion with the conductor. The conductor told him that he could not stay in first class because he was colored, even when he got ticket.
After this discussion he understood that there was segregation and he decided to do a non-violence campaign in India.

Scene 7
In this scene, Gandhi has a speech. He talks about that there is a new law in India that everyone must now be fingerprinted. The essence with this speech is to get the Indians understand how Britain rule them. He hopes that they will help him to fight with non-violence methods.

The great barrier reef threatened by tourism

The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef and is situated outside Australia.

It is now threatened by shipping and its tourist popularity. The most popular activities is snorkeling and diving and the Co2 level increases. This kills the corals, and if the corals vanish, the animal life will also disappear.
The corals die because when the Co2 level increases, the water gets warmer and then they get stressed. When the corals are stressed they lose algae which are important food for them.

MOT SLUTTEN? Kanskje får ikke neste generasjon muligheten til å oppleve dette. Foto: API think it's pretty strange that if a human is on a vacation he damage the life in the water. I don't know how they can solve this problem. Maybe it is possible to limit how many peoples who can go there every year? I think that may be the best solution. We could also stop think about it and use the coral reef until it complete dies.

After Tevez refused to play for Manchester City on Tuesday, Sir Alex Fergusen backs Roberto Mancini  when he suspended Tevez for the next two weeks. I read this on bbc.co.uk.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/15124902.stm

I think it's a very stupid decicion by Tevez to not play. When footbal is his job, he cannot just say "no" I'm not going to work today. Then of course city's manager has to suspend Tevez for a couple of weeks.
Even when Ferguson is their rival he says that he backs the manager, and I think that is good!
